Blur

March 19, 2007

Wow – the past week and a half have been a blur. Last week I went with about 50 students from our church on a spring break mission trip to New York City. It was a fantastic trip, and of course we benefited from it as much or more than the people we were supposedly going to help and/or reach out to. Just another example of something we have talked about a lot with our church – how the best relationships and community are formed when we are united in some common goal outside of ourselves.

Immediately after getting back from that trip I turned around and drove to Knoxville this past weekend to be in my friend Jake Kirby’s wedding. It was great to see him and spend some time getting to know his (now) wife, and all of the friends he has made since he moved to Colorado. We all hit it off immediately and had a great time celebrating the marriage of 2 amazing, Godly people.

So now I am back, trying to catch up on some sleep and trying to remember what all I was doing before I left that I need to pick up and get to work on again…
