About Me

The Basics:

• I have lived in Columbia for the past 5 years helping start a new church called Midtown Fellowship
• I am currently living in Greenville, SC and am in the process of preparing to move to Brazil later this year to work with a church and college ministry there (more info at the menu at the top of the page)

More Than You Ever Wanted To Know:

• I am originally from Greenville, SC
• I am blessed with great parents and a younger brother who is married and has 3 children
• I went to college at Clemson University and lived there for another 10 years
• I am loved by God
• I try to love God in return, but I am not very good at it so I am thankful for Jesus
• I love meeting new people
• I enjoy getting to know people below the surface
• I want to get to know you
• I love seeing someone who is good at what they do
• I love teaching someone how to do something new
• I am the proverbial “jack of all trades”
• I am never satisfied with the way things are
• I am a dreamer
• I like to think (and sometimes live) unconventionally
• I love good design
• I am creative, but not artsy
• I often overanalyze things
• I am often lonely
• I am most comfortable in jeans and a tshirt
• I am southern but do not have much of an accent
• I am fashionable but not trendy
• I like animals, but don’t really have a desire to own one
• I like spontaneity in life
• I am both clean and neat
• I wish I were funnier
• I don’t hunt for parking places
• I walk fast, even when I am not in a hurry
• I am a very light sleeper
• Old pictures of me with hair are funny!
• I am a hopeless romantic
• I love the lake
• I love waterskiing and wakeboarding
• I do not love swimming
• I love surfing
• I love playing ultimate frisbee
• I like playing most sports, but can’t stand working out or running
• I want to get my pilot’s license
• I want to learn to dance
• I love music (listening, playing, and singing)
• I hear music way before I do the lyrics
• I am particular about sound quality
• I love small-venue concerts
• I love broadway shows
• I sang in several acappella groups throughout high school and college
• I love playing and singing with a band
• I want to sing with a jazz big band someday
• I have been a groomsman in 19 weddings
• I have sung in 17 more
• I designed and built my 1st house, and did some major remodeling on my 2nd
• My knees are not very good (4 surgeries and counting)
• However…. I never get sick, other than an occasional cold
• I am on good terms with my ex’s
• I dont want any more ex’s
• I love big cities
• I love small towns
• I do not like medium sized cities or the “burbs”
• I love coffeehouses and bookstores
• I do not like chain restaurants
• I prefer the mountains to the beach
• I read quite a bit, both fiction and nonfiction
• I am fascinated by the internet
• I love watching movies
• I dont watch much tv
• I love watching college sports
• I do not like watching professional sports
• I love to drive
• I love to explore
• I love road trips
• I have been to 47 states
• I like maps
• I love to travel
• I do my best thinking when traveling
